Expenses incurred when collecting car from abroad
What is covered
If you have left the insured vehicle abroad for repair, Green Flag or Allianz will pay the cost of a single economy ticket by rail or sea (or air if the train or boat journey would be longer than 12 hours) for you or a driver of your choice to collect the insured vehicle. The policy will also pay any necessary expenses on the outward journey by the person collecting the insured vehicle, including accommodation and Green Card charges. This European Breakdown Cover will not pay more than the amount shown in the Benefits Schedule. If necessary, the policy will also pay any charges up to £100 for storing the insured vehicle abroad before it is repaired, sent home or legally abandoned.
What is not covered
Any expenses which you would have had to pay anyway had the event not happened including ferry tickets, tolls, fuel etc.
